  2. again, still catching up 🙂 I realize this is 8 months ago and things may have changed….but…After you had the tacos you said you were bloated. Did you use taco seasoning? That has wheat in it. Also the meatballs. Did you check ingredients in those? They may contain wheat as well. Wheat bloats me terribly. I have also found that lowering my dairy intake has helped a LOT

  4. It was probably the meatloaf. Depending on the recipe. Most people put brrad in it and that would push you over your net carbs. I get the sugar free BBQ sauce from Wal-Mart and it tastes pretty good.

  6. Just back on track after almost a whole month of cheats. And when I mean cheats; meaning really bad and let loose kind of cheats😦. Do feel great now but have stayed off the scale. Showing great progress and keep it up.

  7. Maybe add water to your smoothie to water down the coconut milk?

    It seems like Keto diet can get expensive with all the substitutions for products that have sugar and carbs.

So this is my first time commenting on a YouTube video, but I feel I should because I want to encourage you to keep making these wonderful videos, and also introduce myself as a member of the community you’re creating 🙂 I’m 3 weeks into my keto journey. BUT it’s on pause because on day 14 I developed a really severe and AWFUL Keto rash!! Like red (even on my dark complexion), angry, raised, itchy, gross rash. It was all over my chest shoulders and neck..And it crept up onto my face!! After 3 days of it getting worse and worse I decided to reintroduce carbs to my diet in order to get rid of it. It’s working, but now that I’m out of ketosis my energy levels dropped, my weight snuck up a bit, and I overall don’t feel well. SO I’m gonna try and experiment with how low I can take my carbs back down that’ll help me back into ketosis, but keep away the rash. I was feeling really discouraged because I had to leave ketosis. Kind of like a failed, even though it had been working so well for me prior to the rash. But seeing you keep on keepin on after getting kicked out of ketosis inspired me to keep trying. So thank you 🙂

Hi just got on to your channel and watched all the keto videos because I had started Keto June 18, 2018 by July 18 I had lost 16lbs right now I am stuck at 16lbs lost, sometimes I can figure out if I did anything new and that what I ate the day before might have not been Keto friendly. Anyhow I did notice that you did not talk about drinking water. I do workout about 4 days per on average and try to drink about 8 glasses. Congrats so far I can definitely see your weight loss and yes like everyone I love that bathing suit.

I loved this video and I really loved your commentary on not focusing so much on food filling some emotional void or meals being meaningful and focusing on what food is for and that’s for fueling our bodies! I think once we can accept this reality in our minds we will thus feel the need for cheat days and cheat meals. I needed to hear this, thank you!

  34. Eating keto is becoming easier. I try not to be to hard on myself. I treat myself to a cheat day every 2 weeks. I'm not losing a lot of weight. But I see a difference in my body.

  35. Thank you so much for sharing that story about being at your mom's and everyone else having the BBQ sauce and your taking some. For a number of years I was on a limited diet and ate socially with no problem, but at a certain point, all of a sudden my self-discipline severely evaporated. I think I kind of changed. But in any case, for a long time I would feel really ashamed of my lack of will-power around others to just eat what I could digest and ignore the deliciousness I couldn't. Hearing this little anecdote really made me feel a lot better about myself!! Thank you!!

I usually don't comment on videos but I really enjoy your content and personality 🙂 I also experienced PMS this week while on keto and I've been bloated, which I read is unpreventable and it'll happen regardless of what diet you're on. So it's normal! But you look amazing, keep it up!!

  39. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to comment on any of these Keto videos because I do like this channel and I want to be respectful. However, as a gastroenterologist physician who frequently counsels patients on nutrition, I must say to those reading this comment that the algorithm for weight loss has not changed. Eating a balanced plant based diet has been shown (peer reviewed studies) to help with weight management and increase longevity. Exercising at least 30 minutes per day, if you are able, is also extremely beneficial to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I caution everyone to minimize the animal product based meats in their diet for numerous reasons, but the association with colon cancer is particularly concerning. I am diagnosing colon cancer in younger and younger patients (this is not anecdotal, this is what I am seeing with my own eyes when I perform colonoscopies and is changing the field of gastroenterology such that we are recommending decreasing the screening age for first time colonoscopies). Numerous (peer reviewed) studies have shown this association. Please consult your physician before starting any diet like this. Thank you.

  41. Hi Gia! I have been following you for a while since some reviews you did. I am on week 5 as well if this diet. You are the one who made me try that waffle recipe. For taco Tuesday, I love doing the shells with just cheese. I put a slice of cheddar on parchment paper then invert it on the back of muffin tins. Makes a little cup. Way less effort then what you made and taste great. Even my family likes it.

  43. I'm loving watching your journey though I'm terrified to do it myself. A couple years back I did Whole 30 and my body screamed…Two Weeks in I menstruated for 3 weeks – until I added a plantain for breakfast and a sweet potato for dinner. But my blood sugars (MODY diabetic) were great!
