  20. sorry calories in calories out has been old news and proven wrong , weight loss is about hormones.. Insulin is a fat storage hormone so as long as you keep your carbs high you will gain weight. It is proven by the ketogenic diet check it out.. Jason Fung wrote "the obesity code " explains it well.

  21. I liked the video until the claim bs about how restricting food too much, in particular carbohydrates (!) leads to "starvation state and holding fat reserves". Right… Eat less, lose fat. Eat a lot less, gain fat again? Which one is it now Ollie?
    If you have fat on you it's NOT possible too be in "starvation mode". Our bodies will produce ketone bodies for energy if all glycogen is depleted. If you need 2300 kcal day and eat 0 kcal, how much will energy will your body spend, 0? No, it will be 2300 kcal or slightly, slightly less, all from fat!

    I'm still not sure if this is just him being sarcastic and actually laughing off the claim himself, as he should.

  25. guys seriously get a food tracker ive been logging my food for the past 30 or so days and ive already lost 15 pounds, also don't eat energy bars on rides and drink water on rides and everyday to be healthy ,your body will thank you for it

  26. Diet all wrong! Not all calories are equal as well. Lastly, calorie deficit eating does not work. Far too much sugars and carbs. This is ok for pro athletes, but not for the weekends warrior. Most folks don’t cycle the way they should. Most folks have metabolic syndrome…inability to burn fat because they have far too much insulin in their bloodstream due to eating far too much carbohydrates. Change diet to heavy in fat, moderate in protein. Carbs is a non essential food. I cycle and lost over 60lbs on a high fat diet, and riding. 20 miles a day without going aerobic, which requires sugar or carbs. All your info is incorrect! Look for high fat diets for athletes, or check out the book, The obesity Code, by Dr Jasón Fung!

  27. Don't expect instant results. Don't even get on a scale for two weeks. No pastries. No sugar drinks except while training, no artificial sweetner. Figure out what your calorie intake should be to main weight and do not go above it, except for sports fuel, and only at 50% of what is being burned after the first 500 Cals.

    Six/seven weeks in, I’m certainly fitter & 8lbs lighter👍🏻👍🏻

  30. This is one of the best weight loss videos I've ever seen. No fad diets. No shortcuts. Just scientifically accurate information. Excellent work!

  31. I started cycling properly, every day, when I was about 13. I was BIG! Now I'm 86kg. Used to be lighter too but I'm convinced O was double the weight.

    Incidentally, this happened at the same time as the healthy schools thing kicked off which meant pizza and chips and stuff got replaced with tomato pasta and baguettes. It made a big difference.

    It was a long running change, it maybe took a year to drop the weight but I was so glad I did.

    Watch what you eat. Pay attention to the details. I don't exactly diet, I just don't take the piss. Your RDA is a great indicator. Aim for that or below, maybe more protein to muscle generation.

  34. This is for the general comments reader and you're welcome to share your experience. I train for an hour and 20 minutes a day, and burning around 545 calories. I did not weigh/count my calorie intake, however. Explain how did I manage to lose almost two kilograms for four days worth of training? Is this permanent or just a slight shift?

  35. I read that humans are one of the most efficient animals on a bike in terms of distance you can cover. So I guess a couple a sandwiches and bananas and you can go far….🤓🚴‍♀️
