Vlogging How to Overcome Depression and Anxiety to Accomplish Goals| Making Progress Daily

I know from talking with lots of women how crippling #depression and #anxiety can be on a daily basis. In this #video I talk about my personal journey of overcoming my depression to accomplish my personal #goal of returning to #YouTube and selling my #sheabutter on #Etsy. As a person dealing with these obstacles, I know first hand the shame associated with it. As much as you want to get better there is fear of what others will think of you if they knew just how down or how bad you feel. You’re ashamed to let anyone know how hard it is to do the things you know you should do. I know that shame all too well. But the good news is we can overcome! In this video I share what steps I took to get out of the bed and get back to doing the things I’m passionate about. It started with me talking to someone I trusted, my little sister, and humbling myself enough to let her know how I was feeling. I told her what I wanted to accomplish and enlisted her support. Then I began building up a support system by reconnecting with friends who supported me in the past. I told them how I needed them to help me and I allowed myself to use their energy and excitement to propel me when I couldn’t manufacture those emotions on my own. I am so excited because today marks a major accomplishment. I officially opened my Etsy shop and can truly say it is due to the support I opened myself up to receive. If you are dealing with Depression and Anxiety and you have goals you can’t do it alone. But you CAN do it! Thanks for watching!

KPTV news story on Anxiety & Depression: Dr. Carrie Milligan from Providence Behavioral Health in ...

  1. Sunshine, my name is Mary Chatman and I know depression & anxiety for I have had that struggle ALL my life. As I grew in my walk with Jesus Christ I learned as you did, how to seek help to pull myself from the crippling grip of the enemy of success and prosperity. However I know that there is great power in prayer of the righteous, and the righteous will only pray for the good of all. As you and I know the prayers of the righteous accomplish much. So my sister in Christ I'll pray for you and you pray for me, cause the struggle is REAL, but it is not bigger than our God, who above all desires that we be in good health and prosper as our souls prosper. That's promise, and I stand with you to keep all fears bound and loose all courage toward success. GO FORTH MY SISTA YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Wow- I have not seen you on YT in years. Congratulations on your new baby & new shop. I remember your previous Etsy shop. Good luck and God bless you & your new business.

  3. This have encouraged me, keep pressing fabulous Sunshine, you are indeed, fearfully and wondefully made! God bless!!!

  4. Great video sunshine! I'm glad you're back!

I wonder, do you sell any product that's good for detangling?

  5. Sunshine you are such an inspiration to human beings! I was so elated to see you back on YouTube after your absence. I purchased your products from you when you were in South Carolina, my home! And now you're in the DMV, so am I! I can so relate to your video. I struggle with depression and anxiety, it is a battle daily to put one foot in front of the other, I get you! I am so thankful you have a cheering section that has launched you (and your products) back into the world. May blessings continue to come your way…I'm waiting for my order of shea butter and Coconut Confidence to be delivered as I type : )

  6. Thanks for sharing and I hope everything works out for you.

  7. I have no people in my life that get excited for me. I've struggled with depression for a while and when I make an effort to do social activities that I once loved, I feel numb and my family and aquaintances take it personal and say I'm not putting enough effort to enjoy myself, which just makes me feel even more bad and depressed that they are not happy with me. How can I go about making a circle of supportive that friends I can get excited for them and they can get excited for me in different ventures I'm so curious to explore?

I'm so glad you came back to YouTube. The last video I watched on your channel was a loong time ago when you mentioned you were leaving yt to put more attention towards your blog. I thought about you today and decided to check your channel out again . I'm glad I did ❀, you are brave, you are strong and you are courageous. Please continue to inspire us (((HUGS))) & LOVE from New York City πŸ™

  8. Never give up, keep up the good work πŸ‘πŸΎ

  9. I am very happy for you, momma. Always good when we encourage each other. Pretty does not always have to be 'on'. Coming through a storm begins when we realize that we are IN a storm. Our natural selves go looking for the sunshine after that realization. Take it one moment at a time; don't overwhelm your system. Peace!
